It seems that humanity originated on Yolen as originally created by Adonalsium (and later physically replicated on Scadrial by P+R), with the only sentient species we've seen in the Cosmere other than humans being the singers/Parshendi on Roshar, who also pre-date the Shattering.History [] Origins [].
